Faz um tempo que nao falo de unhas, ne? Eh que eu as roi e estao curtinhas! Sim, eu tenho o pessimo habito de roer unhas e nao resisti quando elas estavam um pouco mais compridas que o normal. Mas foi apenas um deslize e tentarei nao roer mais! Por isso, hoje postarei fotos que tirei faz algum tempo ja de um esmalte que muda de cor.

It's been a while since I talked about nails, eh? It's because I bit them and they are super short! Yes, I have the horrible habit of bitting my nails and didn't resist when they were a little bit longer than average. But it was just a lapse and I'll try not to do it again! That's why today I'll post pics that I took a while ago of a nil polish that changes colour.

Nao gostei muito dele no geral: a cor eh mais ou menos e mesmo passando tres camadas, nao ficou homogeneo e a textura eh muito grossa. Porem, ele realmente muda de cor na agua quente (muda de cor dependendo da temperatura), afinal de contas esse eh o atrativo do esmalte! O da foto eh a cor Awesome/Silly (awesome eh a cor mais escura e silly a mais clara), da Claire's, da colecao Mood.

I didn't like it: the colour is so-so and not uniform even after 3 coats and texture is very thick for my liking. However it really does change colours in hot water (it changes colour depending on the temperature), after all this is the appeling quality of the nail polish! The colour is Awesome/Silly (awesome is the darker shade and silly the lighter one), by Claire's, Mood collection.

Continuando a saga "Pelos arredores de Brisbane", nao podemos deixar de falar sobre os meios de transporte, ne? Afinal, como iriamos nos deslocar de uma atracao a outra, ou do servico para casa, ou de casa para o barzinho? =p Bom, acho que todo mundo conhece o bom e velho onibus, imagino que nao preciso falar muito sobre isso. O mesmo vale para os trens, metro e afins.

Continuing the "Around Brisbane" saga, we can't not talk about the transportation, right? After all, how would we move from one attraction to another, or from work to home or from home to the pub? =p Well, I guess everyone knows about the good and old bus, I don't think I need to blab about it.  The same applies to trains, subway and similars.

O que eh mesmo bacana aqui eh o City Cat. City Cat nada mais eh do que uma embarcacao que nos locomove entre uma estacao a outra no rio que corta a cidade. Para quem eh de Vancouver, o City Cat eh o equivalente ao Sea Bus, que liga North Van com Downtown Van.

What is really nice here is the City Cat. City Cat is nothing more than a vessel that moves us between one station to another in the river that cuts the city. For the ones from Vancouver, the City Cat is the equivalent to the Sea Bus, that connects North Van to Downtown Van.

E o sistema de pagamento aqui eh o equivalente ao nosso Bilhete Unico em Sao Paulo. Voce recarrega uma quantia e vai usando ate gastar tudo ou ate quando decidir fazer uma nova recarga.

The payment system here is the equivalent to our Bilhete Unico in Sao Paulo. You recharge an amount of money and keep spending it until it's time to recharge again or whenever you decide to.

Eh um meio de transporte bem pratico e eficiente, ja que liga pontos importantes da cidade, como o centro e bairros residenciais. Por isso, ele eh usado por quase todos que nao estao dirigindo: estudantes, executivos, criancas, turistas, etc.

It's a mean of transport very practical and efficient, once it connects important points of the city, like downtown and residential areas. That's why it is used by almost everyone who's not driving: students, executives, kids, tourists, etc.

Nivea Visage Young Wash Off

A minha pele ultimamente  anda oleosa, uma coisa rara, ja que ela normalmente eh seca. Nao sei o porque dessa mudanca brusca, mas talvez seja pelo fato de eu estar usando mais maquiagem do que antes (antes eu nao usava quase nada). Por isso, estou investindo em produtos oil-free, sem oleo, para nao agravar o que ja esta ruim! rs

My skin's been oily lately, which is rare because my skin is usually dry. I don't know why this is happening but maybe it's because I'm wearing more make-up than usual (before I used to wear next to nothing). That's why I'm investing in oil-free products, to not make things worse! lol

Eu queria um produtinho simples e barato para remover a make, e depois de uma ida a farmacia daqui, achei esse Nivea Visage Young Wash Off, que diz claramente que remove a maquiagem e que ajuda a prevenir impurezas.

I wanted something simple and cheap to remove my make-up and after I went to a pharmacy here, I found this Nivea Visage Young Wash Off, that clearly says  it removes make-up and helps preventing impurities for a pure and soft skin.

Ele eh sem oleo e em gel, o que da uma sensacao de limpeza e refrescancia muito agradavel. Mas a coisa boa acaba por ai. Ele so da essa sensacao, e mais nada, ja que nao remove toda a maquiagem. Eu tenho que lavar o rosto pelo menos umas duas vezes com esse gel para que residuos da make saia por completo. E se nao remove tudo, como eh que pode limpar a pele e prevenir impurezas, nao eh mesmo? Estou usando ha mais ou menos uma semana e nao gostei. Nao recomendo. Mas se voce decidir ir em frente e testar, comente aqui o que voce achou! Talvez seja so comigo mesmo. Beijao!

It's oil-free and in gel, which gives us this very nice clean and fresh feel. But the good things about this product end here. It only gives the sensation of a fresh skin and nothing more, once it doesn't remove all the make-up. I have to wash my face off at least twice using this gel to remove everything. And if it doesn't remove everything how can it clean my skin and help me prevent impurities, right? I've been using it for about a week now and I didn't like it. I don't recommend it. But if you decide to go ahead and test it out, please comment here what you think! Maybe it's only me. Kisses!

Ao longo do tempo, eu mostrarei um pouco mais sobre a cidade de Brisbane, Australia. Tem muita coisa para ver e fazer por aqui, inclusive muitas lojas boas para torrar a nossa graninha! hehehe

Uma das atracoes mais visitadas e adoradas tanto por turistas como pelos residentes locais, eh a Wheel of Brisbane. Com 60 metros de altura, 42 cabines com ar-condicionado e milhares de luzes LED que iluminam o bairro de South Bank durante a noite, essa roda-gigante da ao visitante uma bela vista panoramica da cidade.

One of the most interesting attractions is the Wheel of Brisbane. This ferris wheel stands 60 meters tall, has 42 air-conditioned cabins and thousands of LED lights illuminating South Bank at night. It certainly gives the visitor a gorgeous panoramic view of the city.

E pra terminar o post, um pouco de historia. Erguido entre os anos de 1920 e 1930, o predio da prefeitura de Brisbane eh visto como o coracao da cidade. Desenhado pelos arquitetos Hall e Prentice, esse predio de arenito tem entre outras caracteristicas, uma torre de 92 metros com um enorme relogio no topo.

To end this post, a little bit of history. Erected between 1920 and 1930, the heritage listed City Hall is seen as the heart of the City of Brisbane. Designed by architects Hall and Prentice, the sandstone-faced building features a finely detailed main entrance topped by an 92 metre Clock Tower.

Eu estava procurando um creme facial sem oleo para passar antes da maquiagem, ou simplesmente hidratar a pele, ja que aqui o tempo eh bem seco. A minha busca tava comecando a ficar chata, quando me deparei com esse creme da Neutrogena, Oil-free Fresh Moisture. E se voce ler as letrinhas pequenas na parte de tras da embalagem, voce vera que ele prepara a pele para a maquiagem.

I was looking for a facial moisturizer with oil-free to wear before my make-up, or simply hydrate my skin, once here we have a very dry weather. My search was starting to be boring when I found myself in front of this Neutrogena cream, Oil-free Fresh Moisture. If you read the small letters on the package you'll see it also preps the skin for the make-up.

Comecou a ficar interessante, pensei! Resolvi testar e logo de primeira gostei muito do que vi. A pele fica realmente macia e hidratada, alem de ser perfeito para a maquiagem. A textura eh leve e fina, e o cheirinho eh agradavel, tipo pele de nene! rs Ponto pra mim!

Interesting, I thought! I decided to give it a try and right on my first use I liked it a lot. The skin is smooth and hydrated, besides it is perfect for the make-up. The texture is very light and thin, it smells nice like baby skin! lol Touchdown!

As auroras boreais serão transmitidas "ao vivo" por um site lançado nessa segunda-feira pela Agência Espacial Canadense (CSA, sigla em inglês). "Esperamos que a dança de luzes celestiais os incite a descobrir os segredos do céu, da terra e da ciência, com base nas interações entre a Terra e nossa própria estrela, o Sol", disse o presidente da CSA, Steve MacLean. Além de enviar todas as noites imagens de auroras boreais, o objetivo do site 

www.asc-csa.gc.ca/auroramax é explicar como se formam as "luzes celestiais", os melhores pontos de observação e como fotografá-las, explicou MacLean.

As auroras boreais se formam nos polos, quando os ventos solares atingem a atmosfera terrestre. No Canadá, este fenômeno se produz entre agosto e maio.

Starting Monday night, live feeds of the aurora borealis will be available on www.asc-csa.gc.ca/auroramax, a website set up by the Canadian Space Agency.
A CSA spokeswoman says the light show will begin after dusk local time or at about 11:30 p.m. EDT. But if skywatchers can’t stay up, they can watch it the next day on video. The launch of the online observatory coincides with aurora season in Northern Canada, which generally begins in late August or early September and ends in May. Auroras occur as charged particles from the sun collide with gases in Earth’s upper atmosphere. The online observatory is a collaborative initiative involving the space agency, the University of Calgary, the city of Yellowknife and Astronomy North.
