Ontem eu assisti o filme Australia, uma mistura de drama/comedia/aventura/romance durante a epoca da Segunda Guerra Mundial, com Nicole Kidman e Hugh Jackman nos papeis principais. O filme foi lancado em 2008 e dirigido por Baz Luhrmann (o mesmo de Moulin Rouge e Romeu + Julieta), retrata a historia da aristocrata inglesa Lady Sarah Ashley que herda terras e centenas de cabeca de gado, e tem de viajar milhas e milhas atraves desse lindo, porem imperdoavel clima da Australia.

Agora, minhas impressoes. Achei bem digno, com um toque suave de comedia, que nao deixa o tom do filme ficar super pesado por conta da guerra e das perdas ocorridas. Boas atuacoes, inclusive da crianca que interpreta o nativo Nullan (Brandon Walters) e drama na medida certa! Bom, pra falar a verdade, com as lindas paisagens e o corpo escultural do Hugh Jackman, nao preciso de muito mais pra gostar do filme! rsrs! Super Recomendo!

Yesterday I watched the movie Australia, a mix of drama/comedy/adventure/romance set on the brink of World War II, with Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman in the lead roles. The movie, released in 2008 and directed by Baz Luhrmann (Moulin Rouge and Romeo + Juliet), tells the story of Lady Sarah Ashley, an English aristocrat having to drive a herd of cattle across hundreds of miles in this beautiful yet unforgiving country.

Now, my impressions. It was super worth it, with hints of comedy that didn't allow the movie to be sad because of the war and losses ocurred. Good acting, including the kid who plays the aboriginal Nullan (Brandon Walters), and also drama in the right dose! Well, to be honest, with all the beautiful scenery and Hugh Jackman's sculptural body, I don't need much more to like the movie! lol! I super recommend it!
