Brazil Fest

No sabado passado, teve o Brazil Fest, aqui em Van. Eu so estava de passagem, portanto fiquei apenas uns 5 minutos por la. Mas, nesse tempinho, eu senti que a coisa estava meio fraca, apesar de todos falarem que "ha uma hora atras a coisa tava bombando, amiga!" Quando eu digo fraca eh por causa da impressao de ter sido organizada por amadores. A unica coisa que identificava o Brazil Fest eram umas bexigas verde e amarela, e so! Apesar de que as tendinhas tinham faixas explicando quem eles eram e tals. Eu que sou brasiliera vi na hora do que se tratava, mas sera que uma pessoa que nao conhece muito a nossa cultura e lingua reconheceria?
Tinha um palquinho com uma banda tocando musicas tipicamente brasileiras, e eu gostei muito da cantora, bem afinadinha! Ah, outra coisa que deixou a desejar foram as tendinhas de comida nao terem comida pra vender! Esgotado! Como assim? Bom, siginifica que eles venderam muito, ne? Mas estou na torcida pra que da proxima vez seja muito melhor! E vamo que vamo! =)

Last Saturday, we had the Brazilian Fest here in Van. I was just walking through, so I stayed there for just about 5 minutes. However, I felt that it was a bit weak, besides the fact everybody was telling me it was greaaat! When I say weak it's because it seemed organized by amateurs. The only thing identifying it was a Brazilian festival were few green and yellow balloons. Well, the tents had some identification, explaining who they were, etc. I'm Brazilian and could tell what it was about, but I'm wondering if someone who doesn't know our culture and language very well would understand what it was all about.
There was a stage with a band playing typical Brazilian songs, and I liked the singer, very tuned! Oh, another thing I didn't like was the fact that the tents with food didn't have any food to sell! Sold out! Well, it means they sold a lot, right? That's a good thing! But I'm here hoping next time will be better!
